Looking for SN 2013DY...

On the night of July 29, we gathered at the pine tree locale with our friends Rolandos & Koulla to seek out supernova 2013DY in Lacerta. Our attempt was a success and we were treated with beautiful dark skies (best SQM reading was 20.89 at zenith) and a multitude of fireballs! Here's a quick and silent timelapse of our activity!

Astrophotographers on Olympus

On the night of April 26, myself and renowned planetary imager Damian Peach met up at mt. Olympus on Troodos to attempt some imaging. Here is the result of a 3-segment timelapse that I recorded through the night.

Firmament

I find time lapse photography extremely rewarding and the result mesmerizing. I have slowly began experimenting and here is my first compilation of timelapse sequences all shot in 2012. I call this project "Firmament" to showcase that the sky is everything *but* a lifeless fixed ceiling above our heads.

All footage shot with Canon EOS 550D, 18-55mm IS lens on fixed tripod. Shutter controlled by Vello ShutterBOSS controller. Composed in Startails and Windows Movie Maker.

Locations include Agros resort, Amiantos locales, Xyliatos Dam aswell as Mazotos beach.
