Eucalyptus Observatory - Our temple to the StarsA work in progress, gradually assembled in my backyard. A simple, functional home for my gear which allows me to exercise astronomy and astrophotography more frequently. The observatory consists of a 2m x 2m metal frame, split top (clamshell variant) opening roof design, plywood & insulated paneling. The roofs are held in place by 6mm chains welded to the frames. The chains rest on adjustable hooks so I can raise or lower the roof height independently as well as open only one of the two If I so choose. Works great as a Sun shade for solar observing / imaging!
