I have a thing for Galaxies. Every time I look at or take a picture of one I am reminded that these celestial behemoths are home to millions of stars similar to our own Sun and that our Sun is nothing more than a common star, one of millions in our own Galaxy. They are so far away (the nearest, the Andromeda Galaxy is over 2.5 million light years away) and so massive that they actually bend the fabric of space-time.
