Had another try at timelapsing with my EOS550D. Set up on a tripod and aiming at a small group of astronomers as we explore the skies through a 6" refractor and an 18" Obsession at Mazotos beach. A few clouds rolled in later on the night which had to be the end of our excursion!

...with the new Vixen refractor! Loaded up on the CG5 with the EOS 550D, I took on M81 & M82, the famous Bode's & Cigar Galaxies in Ursa Major. Captured with Backyard EOS and processed in DeepSkyStacker & Photoshop.

I finally acquired another piece for my equipment puzzle! A like-new, Vixen ED81SWT refractor that I knew I had to have! This is my first light attempt at the Moon, done hastily due to holes in the clouds and with the camera facing the zenith so my exposure is off quite a bit! Never the less, I am certainly thrilled with this new equipment and cannot wait to put it through its paces!

Update: The exposure was right after all! Some thing went wrong with the file conversion, so I've re-uploaded the picture!
